We are located directly opposite the fabulous Seaview Beach Diner, a popular meeting place for locals as well as numerous day trippers and holiday makers.

Next to the Diner is the local convenience store, selling everything from newspapers and magazines to toys, gifts, groceries, old fashioned sweet and much more.

We are lucky to have free parking directly behind the beach hut, perfect if you have small children with you and don’t want to trek for miles down the beach.

Little Seafoam has both a high season and low season daily rate, and is available to hire all year round.

FAQs
How long do we have at Little Seafoam?
Little Seafoam is available from 9:30am until 7:30pm in the high season, and 9:30am until 4:30pm in the low season. For September 2025 you can stay until 7:30pm, even with it being in low season.
How do I access Little Seafoam when I arrive?
The key safe is located at the rear of the hut. Slide down the back cover to reveal the key pad. Enter the code provided and push down on the black lever to release the key. When leaving at the end of the day replace the key in the key safe, close and ‘scramble’ the key pad.
Will the tide impact our stay at Little Seafoam?
At certain times of the day The Strood which connects Mersea to Colchester can flood, cutting off the island from the main land. Please check the tide times prior to leaving home using this link
Where do we park if we have more than one car?
If additional parking is required you can either use the chargeable public car park opposite the site entrance, or use the red key fob to raise the barriers at the entrance to the caravan park, follow the road to the right and park on the left. Please note that the barrier automatically lifts when exiting. Please park responsibly.
Are dogs welcome at Little Seafoam?
Well behaved dogs are always welcome and must be supervised at all times, and must not jump on the sofa or any soft furnishings. We only allow a maximum of one dog within the hut.
Is there water and electricity at Little Seafoam?
Like most beach huts, Little Seafoam doesn’t have a water or electricity supply. The sink at the rear of the hut is not plumbed in, with a collecting bucket positioned below allowing you to wash up. Please empty this bucket when you leave at the end of the day.
Is Little Seafoam accessible by wheelchair users?
Unfortunately Little Seafoam is not accessible to wheelchair users due to being a sea-front beach hut and being located directly on the sand, as well as a large step up onto the decking area. This makes it tricky for wheelchairs and other mobility aids to get to.
Where are the nearest toilets?
There are customer toilets 10 seconds away at Seaview Beach Diner, public toilets 2 minutes walk away along Victoria Esplanade and guest toilets 4 minutes walk away at The Sandbank Pub and Restaurant.
What do we need to do when leaving Little Seafoam?
We respectfully ask all guests to leave Little Seafoam as found, returning all items to their correct place. Please wash up and put back any used utensils, crockery etc. (cleaning products are supplied).
Please dispose of all rubbish. Food and drink items must be removed from the beach hut and surrounding area and disposed of in the bins on site or taken home with you.
Please clean and sweep the hut/deck before you depart. We provide all cleaning products and brushes for this purpose.
Ensure all window covers / rails / locks are secured, the keys are returned to the key safe and the key safe is properly closed.
What is your cancellation policy?
We offer free cancellation up to 14 days prior to arrival. After this point, a £20.00 admin fee will be deducted from any refund. No refund / amendment is available if cancellation is within 7 days of arrival.
We do not offer refunds / amendments for bad weather.
We are unable to transfer any bookings to another date during peak season of July and August.
To amend a booking free of charge we require more than 7 days notice via email. Any further amendments will result in a £20.00 admin charge.
